As a building services maintenance provider Acorn Engineering Ltd is committed to the protection of the environment including climate change, prevention of pollution, fulfilling our compliance obligations and the continual improvement of our environmental management system to enhance environmental performance.

Our management system underpins everything that we do for our clients.

As a company we are committed to:

• identify the environmental aspects of our activities and services and take steps to prevent or mitigate their impact on the environment, especially those deemed as significant
• fulfil all statutory, regulatory, and other compliance obligations applicable to the environmental aspects of our activities and services
• set annual environmental objectives and targets that are monitored and reviewed with the aim of improving our environmental performance
• ensure that all persons working under our control have the necessary competence to meet the commitments of this environmental policy and their roles in relation to our environmental management system
• communicate this policy and the importance of fulfilling our environmental statutory, regulatory and other compliance obligations and commitments to our employees, persons working under our control and others involved in our activities and services
• investigate any environmental issues raised by clients or other interested parties and ensure that corrective action is implemented as quickly as possible
• use the international standard ISO 14001:2015 as the driver to continually improve our environmental management system to enhance environmental performance

This environmental policy will be the subject of review at the annual management review meeting, so as to ensure that the company objectives stated in this policy are being achieved and are appropriate and take into account the nature scale and environmental impacts of our current activities and our products and services.
